The Rides Of Life

Ahhh..... London, london..... here at last.....
the journey's damn long man..... 16+ hrs
oh well, at least it was a safe trip.....
was greeted by gloomy skies when i was in the subway.....
felt so out of place cuz this is the first time i'm surrounded by ang mohs
hehe.... bought a ticket that cost 5.10 pounds.....
the prices go by the zones you enter, and not how many stops
the ticket could be used for the buses there too.....
well, had dinner with renee, her sis, and 2 friends.....
nice pub cum dining place..... the weather's about 10-15 degrees?
love the weather..... oh well, kinda tired and jet-lagged now.....
it'a about 12am here..... going up to France in the morning for 4 days
woohoo!

ahhh.... finally finished packing and all.....
it's about 4am on friday morning....
gonna leave the house in about 1 1/2hrs time.....
damn, i'm excited!!! but at the same time, calm.....
it's a mixture of feelings burning inside of me......
dunno what will come out of this trip......
so many things going on in my head......
but it's always good to go up with an open mind.....
God be my guide.....

bought the Ataris CD just now from Borders....
they're not bad, but Linkin Park's new album is much better
made a 'WANTS LIST" just now for the people whom asked me to buy something from UK
interesting list i must say.... hehe.... hope i can get everything

went to Renee's house just now to pick up some stuff the parent's bought for her
man, did they buy alot of food for her! till now, i still can't stuff everything in my bags
haven't been to her house in 5 months......
and when i was walking along the road to her place, it felt good.....
the memories will always remain in my head.....
that's what i've got now..... and it'll always be a part of me.....

well well, 1 day more to UK..... busy packing and stuff.....
but the SCDF just had to have an exercise of thursday night
wah liew!!!!!!! man, this is just 'great' timing.....

man, the SARS epidemic is kinda scary......
i mean, people take it for granted that they won't get it
but the actual fact is, you'll never know man......
when you do, it's too late....

had to wear a mask cuz i'm working in the medical centre
where it's more vunerable to such diseases......
oh well, if one person gets the SARS, the whole HQ can close down liao
and school kids are getting off school because of this.....
wanting them to stay at home.....
HAHA..... like as if they will.....
i'd be happy if i was studying and there was a 10 day break from school....
oh well, first war, then now SARS......
the signs of the world ending are evident......
just hope that all's ready when He comes......

it's a tuesday morning...... been packing abit for the trip up to london
mostly busy buying stuff for renee.... a list of them....
man, why must the war happen when i'm about to leave? sheesh
just hope nothing happens...... but the security at the airports are gonna heat up

can't seem to sleep though..... excited about the thought of going up.....
for the record, i've never been out of asia..... and now UK and France..... woohoo!!!
it's gonna be an experience..... just hope the stupid war doesn't spoil the mood....

oh well, gonna try and get some sleep now.....

hmm, got up late for work, so my pals covered me.... ahhh =)
the usual, nothing special happened today
gym, then to tim's place..... had to practise for an up-coming gig
with jerome, interesting concept..... acoutic guitars with dj-ing
but it blends so well, can see something out of the new band....
exciting but tedious to get all the members together..... busy busy

met an ex poly mate yesterday, was good to see her again
haven't seen her in almost 2 years!!!
did some updating and catching up......
then went to watch a show called THE PIANIST
oh boy, that show was depressingly sad....
was about the war times, Germans vs the Jews
got many gruesome scenes of massacres and killings....

oh well, 2 weeks to go, can't think of anything else but going up to london....
now i have to get a long list of things renee wants.....
how am i gonna bring up mee goreng??? haha.....
oh well, we'll see how it goes..... one day at a time, that's life for me....

had a lousy day at work today......
had a tiff with a colleague......
sigh, it's so hard to show love when you know things are going wrong
but i guess that's the challenge of it all......
to show love when hatred is installed.....

i mean what's that compared to Jesus dying on the cross for people that hate him?
oh well, i guess i've got lots to learn......
and learn i must.....

went to church, then after that had pot luck lunch in church
so that means, no duck rice for me..... arghh!!! sob sob
the duck rice at the coffee shop opposite my church is excellent!
the best i've tasted to far.... so i made it a point to dine there after every service
i've broken the routine today!!! arghh!!! hehe.....

had the church consecration service in the afternoon,
spent most of the time being a cameraman...
running up and down taking almost every event that was happening
i'm gald to see the church packed with people...
it makes it feel warm and hearty......

had a talk with amabel, well, i can say it's good constructive criticism about COT and stuff....
later, hung out with the youths for dinner at Hollang V.....
first to Thai Express (hot stuff!!!), then to Gloria Jeans....
nice place to chill though...... it was great hanging out with them again
havent' done that in quite awhile...... i'm blessed with brothers and sisters like them
thank God for them.... accountability, accountability!!! =)

went down to town after that to meet chris.....
hung out at Roomful of Blues for awhile, then went on with Chris to talk
it was good, talking to my bro, cuz spiritually,
we have our own fair share of problems and we needed accountablity
it starts, RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW
God be our guide...... and our light & salvation......

eventful day, tired, but contented once again....
